I’m quite secure in my relationship – Kareena Kapoor Posted: 28 Jan 2012 08:25 PM PST Kareena Kapoor doesn't get jealous easily. The actress says she is happy and content in her relationship with beau Saif Ali Khan. Kareena shared her sentiments in a casual tete-a-tete with her friend and "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" producer Karan Johar for "A date with Ek Main aur Ekk Tu" – a show to be simulcast Feb 4 on ETC, Zee TV, Zing, Zee Cafe, Zee Studio, Zee Trendz and Zee Khana Khazana. Johar asked Kareena – "How do you feel when you see Saif in an intimate scene with another hot actress? Say in 'Race 2', Saif has a bare-body scene with a Deepika in bikini, what would be your first thought?" To which, Kareena replied: "I'd be like 'Wow! How hot Saif looks'," and added: "I know how he looks bare bodied!" On a serious note, she said: "I am quite secure in my relationship with Saif and though I don't want to say too much too soon, I am quite content!" Recently Saif admitted how he thinks Kareena looks best only with him, and not with any of the other Khans of Bollywood that she has worked with. – IANS Advertisement: |
Wish I could’ve been part of ‘Dabangg 2′ – Sonu Sood Posted: 28 Jan 2012 06:18 PM PST Actor Sonu Sood, who gave an award-winning performance as villain Chhedi Singh in "Dabangg", regrets not being a part of the sequel. In 2011, producer Arbaaz Khan announced that the sequel's script did not allow him to cast Sonu in the villain's role, and they roped in southern star Prakash Raj instead. "It was a creative call of the director and the script needed someone else but I am still part of the family. I wish I could have been part of 'Dabangg 2', but the script demanded someone else," Sonu told IANS. However, what's good is that Sonu's absence from the sequel has not strained his friendly terms with Salman Khan, the star of the movie. "Salman and I are still together. We are still very good friends. A film is a very small thing to rip us apart," he added. This year Sonu will be seen in a cop's role. "My next film will be with Naseeruddin Shah. It is titled 'Maximum'. I am playing a cop in the film. The film is based in Mumbai," he said. – IANS Advertisement: |
‘Agent Vinod’ is complete Indian hero – Saif Ali Khan Posted: 28 Jan 2012 04:46 PM PST BollywoodWorld.com, Dismissing any similarities with fictional spy agent James Bond, Bollywood actor-producer Saif Ali Khan says his character in "Agent Vinod" is totally desi. The much-awaited action-spy film, with Saif and his real life lady love Kareena Kapoor, is ready for release. And comparisons with the "James Bond" series are inevitable, says Saif. "Any audience who comes to see the film will think that we have done an Indian James Bond. This is a very stupid thing to do because firstly, James Bond is a completely English character," he told reporters on the sidelines of the launch of the first poster of the movie. "From the first scene of the film, you will realise that this is an Indian hero who is very different to the Bond character because we didn't want to make a copy of the Bond film," added Saif. However, if "Agent Vinod" turns out to be a box office success, Saif might consider making sequels to it, a la the "James Bond" series, of which 22 films have been made so far. The 23rd is in the process of being made. "If the film does well, it depends on the audience. If the picture becomes popular, then of course we will look forward to making a series," said Saif. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the action-loaded film is slated to release March 23. – IANS Advertisement: |
Posted: 28 Jan 2012 03:03 PM PST Ekta Kapoor has been at the top of her game for some years now, maintaining her position as a power player in the television world, a few hiccups notwithstanding. Now she has forayed – and very successfully, considering the reaction to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Shor in the City and The Dirty Picture – into the larger kingdom of feature films too. But where her own personal life is concerned, Ekta is not as fearless and confident as she is at work. According to what she said recently in an interview, she has trust issues that prevent her from finding a man to get some coochie cooing done with. The lady says that it could be her tough image that works against her love life, or else it is the stars that are not properly placed for her to attract the right kind of person. And she is not willing to "keep the door open" and let just anyone in, she insists. "I just want to protect my heart from rejection. Also I am not sure who is approaching me for what I am. I joined a gym and I couldn't work out because there were four aspiring actors working out only around me. I take a flight, pursers give me their numbers. How will I ever know who wants to genuinely be my friend and not use me?" While this is a problem a lot of women face, we know that Ekta has more to lose with a bad relationship than with a flop film. And she has gone through all the various kinds of trauma that any woman in her position could possibly face…in her television serials, we mean, of course! |
Vidya Balan’s promotional for ‘Kahaani’ flops Posted: 28 Jan 2012 01:46 PM PST The makers of Kahaani, in an attempt to keeping promotions as real as the film itself seems, caused a great deal of inconvenience to unsuspecting people who were travelling by train this afternoon. Director Sujoy Ghosh's film Kahaani is about a pregnant woman, Vidya Bagchi, played by Vidya Balan, in search of her missing husband in Kolkata. To promote the film, someone came up with the bright idea of taking the lead actor to a busy railway station in Mumbai, where she would try and look for her husband, distributing pictures and speaking to commuters at the venue. Thanks to the frenzy caused by Vids' previous outing, The Dirty Picture, everyone at the station wanted to see her. She arrived in a public taxi and the moment she stepped out, she was mobbed. Being the brave girl that she is, she went ahead and walked up to the platform and caused more commotion that would be seen when a train arrives during the morning rush hour. That's when the cops had to step in and many enthusiastic fans were caned. Many of them didn't even know about the movie and were just going on with their lives when they were taken to task by the policemen. After the event, Vidya was supposed to talk the media gathered there about her role in the film, but even that didn't happen. She was whisked away in her private car because the crowd had become unmanageable by then. A few disgruntled folk who got beaten up swore to not watch the film even when it was be aired on television sometime in the future. Wethinks this is a promotional idea gone terribly wrong, and hope that someone issues an apology for the inconvenience caused. Don't you think it was unfair? |
‘Agneepath’: record opening at the box office! Posted: 28 Jan 2012 12:11 PM PST Karan Johar's Agneepath has grossed approximately Rs 23 crore on its opening day, beating the record for the biggest opening collections previously set by Salman Khan with Bodyguard. While Bodyguard earned Rs 20.crore (nett), RA.One garnered Rs 14.76 (nett) on the first day. So Agneepath has beat the two films quite easily. It has managed to achieve phenomenal numbers in Mumbai and the South. Releasing the film on January 26 was a smart move, as it will enjoy solo release status and the boost of a long weekend start. We are sure that after the debacle of his last two solo films – Kites and Guzaarish – Hrithik must be on top of the world after hearing these figures. But the biggest question is: Will Agneepath manage to become the highest grossing film of all time? For that to happen, the movie will have to cross the Rs 100-crore-mark (Bodyguard has set the record high at Rs 100.15 crore). The Karan Malhotra-directed film has received mixed reviews from the critics and the audience, making it difficult to say whether it will be able to sustain its hold through the week. Does Hrithik have the strength to pull in a bigger audience? We'll know that soon enough! |
