Despite many voice rehearsals, Prateik's voice has not acquired the required depth, eventually requiring it to be tweaked post-dubbing. However no such problem was seen in the film's kissing scenes

While his late mother Smita Patil might have been known for her perfect dialogue delivery and grave voice, Prateik isn't quite blessed with the same qualities.

Even though his father Raj Babbar has helped him grasp the Hindi language better and directors like Prakash Jha and Raghav Dhar tried to improve his dialogue delivery, it now emerges that the director of his latest film has had to tweak his voice post-dubbing.

According to sources, Gautham Menon, the director of Ek Deewana Tha, had to enhance the quality of Prateik's voice after dubbing. This was reportedly done to camouflage his nasal voice and lend it the feel of a baritone.

"They tried everything. Prateik went through several voice rehearsals before the final dubbing. But his voice still sounded too tinny in the dramatic and romantic scenes with Amy Jackson," he said.

According to rumours, Prateik is in a relationship with Jackson, a British actress who plays the female lead in the film.

Admitting that Prateik's voice had to be tweaked, Menon said, "We did have problems with Prateik's voice. Filmmakers don't modify and modulate their actor's dubbing after it's done. But in this case we had no choice." In the case of Jackson, who plays a Malayali Christian from Liverpool in the film, another artiste dubbed her voice.

However, sources report that no such trouble was seen in the kissing scenes that the characters share in the film. Prateik and Jackson reportedly grew closer to each other during the numerous voice rehearsals.

By the time their kissing scenes were to be filmed, the two had apparently gotten so close that that they became hesitant to go through with the scenes.

Menon said, "Both of them kept asking, 'Are you sure you want this?' It was meant to be the first kiss between the two characters, hesitant and soft. Both Prateik and Amy got it right."

Actress Udita Goswami returns to the big screen after a long hiatus with "Diary Of A Butterfly" and says like her previous movies this one too has exciting music, adding that it is a matter of luck that her films boast of good music.

"Honestly, the music of 'Diary Of A Butterfly' is very good and I am not saying this because it is my film. I think I have that sense of good and bad music as I have had good music in my films. The songs are really exciting," the 27-year-old said here.

Udita, who debuted in Bollywood with the 2003 release "Paap", featured in films like "Zeher" and "Aksar" and the music of the films were up to the mark.

"The same is said for Emraan Hashmi also that whichever film he does, it has great music.

Same is the case with me. It's a nice feeling but you can't do it consciously, you can't tell the music director that keep this song or that. It's simply a matter of luck and co-incidence," the 27-year-old said here at the music launch of the film.

Udita says "Diary Of A Butterfly" music will strike a chord with the audience.

"Diary Of A Butterfly" is about a girl who carves her way to the top of the corporate ladder. The film also stars Rati Agnihotri, Sofia Hayat, Aryan Vaid and Nassar Abdulla.

On being asked about his views on money for sex, a straight faced Imraan shot back, ?Depends on how much you are offering!?

New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): Mallika Sherawat is set to sizzle on the cover of a 3D magazine from Hollywood, named WMB (World's Most Beautiful).

The 'Hisss' star commented on her new role as to why they chose her to be part of the project.

"They approached me and they wanted a face to represent India," the actress said.

"I had met President Obama and been to the Oscars, so they thought I would be the right person to be on the cover of their issue.

"They saw my work and I said I would love to be party of anything new and 3D is such a youth platform," she added.

With this, she has become the first Bollywood actress to do so. (ANI)

Mumbai, Jan 29 (IANS) Karan Johar's "Agneepath" has opened to a record collection and it is not just commoners who are appreciating the movie. Actress Shilpa Shetty is impressed and describes it as "paisa vasool".

"Watched 'Agneepath' last nite, whoa! what a film, performances par excellence, great narrative. Full on 'Paisa vasool', take a bow Karan Johar," Shilpa tweeted.

"Agneepath" had a record opening day collection - it grossed Rs.25 crore on the first day and surpassed the collections of recent blockbusters like "Bodyguard" and "RA.One".

A remake of the 1990 movie of the same name in which megastar Amitabh Bachchan had played the protagonist, the new "Agneepath" has been directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar. It stars Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor playing pivotal roles.

Mahesh Bhatt's daughter enters B-Town

After Pooja Bhatt, Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's second daughter has entered showbiz but not as an actress. She is following in her father's footsteps by assisting director Vikram Bhatt on "Raaz 3".

"My daughter Shaheen begins her journey as an assistant with Vikram Bhatt who was once my assistant!" the proud father posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Vikram Bhatt has returned to Vishesh Films after 2003 to direct part three of the horror franchise "Raaz", which is being made in 3D.

The movie stars Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez along with Bipasha Basu, who is also making a comeback to the Bhatt camp after "Raaz" (2002) and "Jism" (2003). The Bhatts had offered her the lead role in "Murder 2", but she had turned it down.

"Reporting live from 'Raaz 3' set. Today (Sunday) is the first day of our shooting. Bipasha and Emraan are on the sets. Vikram Bhatt is directing the film. Shagufta Rafique has written 'Raaz 3'. It is a brave script which explores the horrors of the human heart," Mahesh Bhatt posted.

Actor Hrithik Roshan feels Gauri Khan, the wife of Shah Rukh Khan, one of the hottest and most beautiful women.

"With the most beautiful and talented girl in the world! And hottest if I may add! Gauri khan!!! Watch out world, she's about to arrive," the 38-year-old posted on twitter.

Gauri is known for her style and walked the ramp for friend Karan Johar some time back.
