At the Colors Screen award function, Ranbir Kapoor has taken all by surprise when he bent down to touch Deepika Padukone's feet. Deepika took the funny act of Ranbir very sportingly and just passed it out with a laugh.

Actually, Ranbir Kapoor won the best actor screen award for 'Rockstar', Deepika and filmmaker Subhash Ghai was invited to hand over the award to Ranbir. Ranbir touched Subhash Ghai's feet and seeks his blessings then he went to Deepika, bowed to touch her feet.

Deepika was chosen to give away the award to RK to attract eyeballs and raise eyebrows. They were ex-lovers but now the situation is different. They re-united for Ayan Mukerji's 'Yeh Jawaani Yeh Deewani'.

At the screen award, Deepika has also got a reason to smile. She won the Popular Choice award for Aarakshan. Deepika looked stunning on the occasion with deep cut backless green gown.

 Randeep Hooda, who received rave reviews for his performance in the film Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster, has now signed director Vishram Sawant's film Shooter .Vishram Sawant had earlier directed Randeep in the film D, which was Randeep's first film as a lead actor.

Interestingly, Randeep had agreed to sport a bald look for this role, but his Heroine schedule won't allow him to shave his head. "Yes, we had initially decided on that look for my character but since there was a schedule of Heroine in between, I was unable to concede. Vishram was quite unhappy about the development but I seriously couldn't help it. We have worked out another look now, which will hopefully be as interesting as the bald one", says Randeep.

Ask him if it was easy to convince him to shave his mane and the actor says, "I was actually looking forward to a huge change in my looks", adding that he has never worked on multiple films simultaneously before. Randeep has already wrapped up a schedule of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine and Jannat 2 and is now busy with Shooter.

 

Juhi Chawla usually remains very silent and doesn't comment badly about anybody. But the hoarding of Screen Awards could not stop Juhi Chawla to pass a remark on Priyanka Chopra who sported a small blouse during one of her performances at Colors Screen Awards.

She tweeted after looking at the hoarding, "Driving to Juhu now... on the way is a huge Screen awards hoarding ... with a pouting Priyanka... in the tiniest of blouses ... please someone tell why does a respected Screen award for excellence in cinema need such a marketing gimmick???"

Let's hope, this is nothing more than a mere rumor. Already Gauri is going though bad phase in her life following SRK alleged affair with Priyanka and now the Kat's angle surely have taken away her peace. On the other side, Salman Khan is surely be very upset with this report.

 After keeping him hanging on forever Vivek Oberoi is out of Sanjay Gupta's Shootout At Wadala. Confirming this Gupta says, "Me and my co-producer Balaji Films just got tired of waiting for Vivek to make up his mind. What we didn't understand is why Vivek chose to give us the impression he loved the script and that he was on. Anyway, we already have a very strong alternative in mind. We'll make the announcement soon."

As per earlier reports, producer Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor have teamed up to make a love story with a twist. Ekta said, 'The film is an urban take on love - it is quirky, edgy, dramatic and intense.' They also made an announcement that the casting will be made in few days.

Being among the top filmmakers, the duo wants to cast top actress as their leading lady. Apparently, there are some hindrances due to the differences in opinion between them. While KJo prefers casting Kareena Kapoor, Ekta thinks Katrina Kaif is best suited for the role.

Music director duo Ajay-Atul have proved their range in their debut album – Agneepath. They have come up with an item number that is topping the charts, a romantic ditty, a Sufi qawwali and the latest song video unleashed by the makers is a devotional song, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The song starts off slow but leads to an overwhelming crescendo which indicates that Vijay Deenanath Chauhan aka Hrithik is about to do something really drastic. Priyanka isn't doing much in the video, but the intensity in Duggu's eyes is one of the highlights of the video. Director Karan Malhotra seems to have come up with a winning remake but purists argue that if the makers of Agneepath remake have changed almost everything (other than the name of the leading actors), why couldn't they change the name of the film as well? Well, wethinks the debate is unending, but so far, we like what we've seen. Let us know if you feel the same.

Many cricketers have dated B-town starlets but these glam relationships have rarely culminated into a wedding. Zaheer Khan and Isha Sharvani have managed to surprise us by deciding to take their relationship to the next level. The two have been dating for quite some time now. And they have been through their share of ups and downs – they broke up some time ago and then got back together again. But it wasn't long before they realised that it's time to tie the knot. So far Imran Khan has successfully managed to grab film after film on the strength of his chocolate boy face, impish smile and boy-next-door charm. And there's no doubt that he has managed to score some hits and keep the audience occupied with the romantic comedies. Thankfully, just when we thought he was going overboard with the identical love plots, the maverick filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj signed him up for a satire set in the heartland of India, Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola. We knew right away that this would be a path-breaking role for Imran who has been stuck in boyish characters ever since he set foot in filmdom. The stereotypical roles can be partly blamed on his clean and chikna looks.

Anyway, so the filmmaker asked Imran, who looks way younger than his real age (the actor turned 29 this year), to grow a beard and beef up his body for the countryside character. And that's why he is seen at recent dos in a neatly trimmed beard. While we think the facial hair does add a few years to his boyish features, it isn't doing anything to shine his personality. While most B-town actors start looking super-sexy (case in point: SRK in Chak De, Hrithik Roshan in Guzaarish and Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar) when they grow their facial hair, Imran's beard somewhat hasn't upped his sex quotient at all. Don't you think so? Anyway, we only hope that all the effort he has been putting into the look doesn't go waste. But remember the actor managed to create quite an impression when he grew some facial hair (in the form of a scanty stubble) for the first time, in Delhi Belly. Let's hope it proves lucky again!

Akshaye Khanna is a man of few words and believes his hard work would rather do the talking. The actor says what makes you stand out is the strong content of your film.

"No matter how good an actor you are, if you don't have a strong content, you can't do anything. And even if you are a very bad actor and if you have solid content, you will manage to do something. That's the point," said Akshaye, who has been in the industry for the past 15 years.

The actor, who started off as a main stream actor with "Himalay Putra" in 1997, has proved his versatility with films like "Taal", "Dil Chahta Hai" and "Gandhi My Father". Many of his films didn't do well at the box ofifce, but the actor is unperturbed and believes in picking up only those films with strong content.

You don't sign too many films so, what keeps you busy?

"Normal things. I sleep a lot. I am a great sleeper. . I also love to do gardening," he said.

"I don't like to go to parties...I am not that kind of a person. I don't enjoy partying. I would rather be at home, watch TV, read a book," Akshaye told.

The 36-year-old is ready for his first release of the year, "Gali Gali Chor Hai", which is about corruption and the plot revolves around a common man.

"The story is about a common man who gets stuck in the system. It's a simple story of a common man who works in a bank and gets stuck in the system and what happens to him is the story all about. It sounds depressing, but it's a hilarious film," he said.

"In the film, I am the person who is trying to get out but can't. My character keeps paying, paying, and paying and he reaches a point where he has to sell his house. Wife leaves him. He is destroyed totally."

The film is said to be inspired by 1994 "Laadla", which had Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and Raveena Tandon in the lead role. Akshaye has teamed up with Mugdha Godse and Shriya Saran in "Gali Gali Chor Hai", which is coming out Feb 3.

What next?

"Just read the script. You should immediately feel I want to do this. Feeling should come," he said.

2011 was an eventful year for Priyanka Chopra. Though it started with a box office dud 7 KHOON MAAF, it ended with a super hit DON 2. Of course, she was the central protagonist in the former while in the latter she was a part of the action drama instead of being a pivotal force.

Priyanka did not lose her hopes and continued to strive for the best even when the detractors had no good things to say about her. Priyanka says, "I would rather have my work speaking for itself. That has always been the case and I don't see any reason why it should change. I really don't have time to get my mind and energy diverted."

No wonder, even though coming months are looking interesting with AGNEEPATH, BARFI and TERI MERI KAHAANI lined up, she isn't willing to get into any further conversations around making a powerful comeback in the top bracket of the numbers game.

Shah Rukh Khan has bagged two awards at the Screen awards recently and the superstar is happy not only for himself but also for his kids who he says are also his competitors.

"It feels nice to win awards. There is a sense of competition with my kids because they win prizes for racing, taekwondo, riding etc. So I'll go home and show my kids that even I have won two awards," the 46-year-old actor said here at the awards function.

He bagged popular choice best actor for "Don 2: The KIng Is Back" and best jodi award for his pairing with Priyanka Chopra.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh had two releases this year and both the films - "Ra. One" and "Don 2" - crossed the Rs.100 crore-mark at the box office.

He says he does not work for money and added: "I understand the rupees and crores less and you understand it even lesser. Please don't ask me questions on crores and stuff like that. I have been working hard for 20 years and only work to make the public happy.

"Hopefully, this year too I'll work with the same motive and not count numbers. Telephones have numbers and not actors, producers."

SRK is currently working in Yash Chopra's next untitled film with Katrina Kaif. He is also co-producing "Student Of the Year" with Karan Johar.
