The actress is likely to be part of the project that will mark the return of the hit Shankar-ARR-Kamal trio

Even as Katrina Kaif is supposedly getting ready to shoot with Rajinikanth in "Kochadaiyaan", it looks like the " Chikni Chameli" actress may also land a role opposite Kamal Haasan. The latest buzz is that Katrina is being roped in for Aascar Ravichandran's magnum opus. His forthcoming venture with Kamal Haasan is said to be a film with the highest-budget ever in Kollywood and will reportedly be made on a large scale in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam simultaneously. So will Katrina choose both projects or pick one over the other is the big question.

A source reveals, "After finishing work on his dream project "Viswaroopam", Kamal is all set to do a film for Ravichandran titled "Thalaivan Irukkindran". While Kamal, Prabhas and Mohanlal will star in the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions respectively, Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan will also be seen in an important role in this flick. Talks are on with a big Bollywood actress, supposedly Katrina, and if things work out, the film may be made in Hindi simultaneously as well."

The source further adds, "The makers are keen on getting director Shankar to direct this magnum opus. It looks like talks are on with AR Rahman as well to score the music for this larger-than-life movie."

Shankar has directed Kamal earlier in his "Indian", which set the BO on fire. The two were supposed to work again in " Endhiran", but due to unavoidable reasons, the combination didn't work out. Shankar finally made the film with Rajini and the rest is history. But now, looks like the hit combo of Shankar-Kamal-ARR is all set to rock the screen again! And if Katrina joins this team, we are sure to see some fireworks on screen.

Sridevi as Chandni inspires Katrina! - Daily Bhaskar

Katrina Kaif is very keen to step into the shoes of Chandni, the phenomenal character played by veteran actress Sridevi, for Yash Raj Films' next opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Kat is extremely happy with the friendly environment on the sets which is pushing her towards attaining perfection in her performance.

Kat wants to follow the bandwagon of heroines whose careers have changed overnight with one YRF film. She, like the typical Yash Raj actress will be showcased in a sensuous avatar. But, the most special aspect about her character is that she will be paying a tribute to Sridevi by enacting Chandni.
Kat isn't interested in signing any other project at the moment and wants to concentrate on YRF film. Calling it quite special, she wants to put all her energy to give a flawless performance. Kat can't withhold raving about Shah Rukh, who she claims to be very helpful.

Bollywood Film Review: Agneepath - News Pakistan

Bollywood Film Review: Agneepath

I recently got an opportunity to watch Karan Johar's revival of Agneepath, a project that was originally done by his father a couple of decades ago. While the original film had been a colossal flop, to say the least, the re-make of the film was nothing short
of an experience of a life-time.

During the course of the film, I pretty much experienced all sorts of emotions. Joy and sadness kept triggering a smile or a tiniest drop of tear. However, the most strong and prominent emotion that I felt was anger. This did not have anything to do with
the make of the film. Instead, it was attributed to some of the characters that Karan Johar and film-director Karan Malhotra had managed to present a bit too well. These characters included the Kancha, played by Sanjay Dutt, and Rauf Lala that was being played
by Rishi Kapoor.

If there were any images of Sanjay Dutt's "Munna Bhai MBBS" in my brain, his role of Kacha completely eradicated them from my mind. From the time he made his first appearance in the film to the time he made an exit, courtesy of Hrithik Roshan who was playing
the role of Vijay Deenanth Chauhan, originally played by Amitabh Bachan, the character of Kancha was disgusting in the sense that one could feel real hatred for him. His loathsome personality and lack of humanity depicted him as a demon. Unfortunately, Sanjay
Dutt's excellent portrayal of the character turned out to be a boon for him as the entire hatred that one felt for Kancha was unconsciously shifted to Sanjay Dutt. Even to this day, images of a bald-headed Sanjay Dutt keep flashing in my head, making me wish
I never get to set my sight on him again.

Another character that was extremely well done and as a result filled me up with fury was that of Rauf Lala's. If Kacha was loathsome, Rauf Lala was someone I felt like killing with my own hands without caring about the consequences. Being the underworld
king of Mumbai, Rauf Lala dealt not only in drugs but sold young girls to the highest bidders from around the world, majority of which were not-so-subtly shown as Muslims. Rishi Kapoor's role as a cuddly father in "Hum Tum" and "Namastay London" became but
a distant memory as he acted as a heartless and inhumane dealer of drugs and females.

The plot of the movie may not have been as strong as one would have liked, but Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor indeed took the movie to new heights. Rather than the good, it was evil that worked out wonders for this movie. The hero of the film
was indeed a strong character, but the impact made by the villains was indeed a show-stealer.

KLPD team meets Delhi CM Shiela Dixit By Bollywood Hungama News Network, Feb 9, 2012 - 11:30 IST Kismat Luv Paisa Dilli
Amit Chandrra's Kismat Luv Paisa Dilli (KLPD) is currently being shot in Delhi. The crew landed in the capital on Sunday and has started shooting extensively across various parts of the city. KLPD, co-produced by Krishan Chaudhery, shows all aspects of Delhi from the food to the clothes, from the people to the picturesque locations and monuments in the city. It also promotes Delhi culture.

Therefore, when the Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs Sheila Dixit met Amit Chandrra, the producer and Vivek Oberoi for morning tea at her residence on Tuesday morning, they all had much to discuss and talk about. Mrs. Dixit had heard a lot of positive things about the film and wanted to extend her complete support to the team and encourage them. She was glad to know that Amit is a Delhi boy and had moved onto becoming a successful filmmaker in Mumbai after finishing his studies in Delhi.

Since Delhi is a character in itself in KLPD, Mrs.Dixit was happy to hear more about the film from Amit and Vivek and told them that she would like for her team to extend full co-operation to make the process of shoot in Delhi very smooth. On contacting, Amit Chandrra said, "It was an absolute honour to meet Mrs. Sheila Dixit and we would like to thank her for hosting us so graciously. Her support is only going to help make this film better. Delhi is a beautiful city and I am glad that our script permits us to be here and show this lovely city and its culture on celluloid."

Pratiek Babbar is in the news albeit more for personal life than his professional life. His off-screen chemistry with co-star Amy Jackson has become talk of the town. The two will be seen together in Gautham Menon's love story Ek Tha Deewana.

According to a recent news report the duo has moved in together. But the actor denies the news and claims it to be a rumour. He told us, "Yes, I have heard about it but it's not true. It's a rumor," said Pratiek, who doesn't deny his closeness with Amy Jackson.

Ramesh Taurani and Deepika at loggerheads over Race 2 - IndiaFM

Posted: 09 Feb 2012 07:31 AM PST

Ramesh Taurani and Deepika at loggerheads over Race 2February 09, 2012 - 01:39 hrs IST#Deepika Padukone's decision to walk out of producer Ramesh Taurani's multi-starrer Race 2, after shooting for six days, has angered Taurani to no extent. He feels her behavior was totally uncalled for and is extremely unethical, unprofessional and unacceptable.

Deepika's leaving the film has caused havoc with the dates of the other stars in the film like Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Ameesha Patel and Jacqueline Fernandes. It has also resulted in huge monetary losses for producer as the building of sets for their next schedule is already underway and the crew and the location were already booked. Taurani, who has been in this industry for 25 years and has worked with several top notch stars, says that has never faced a situation like this before.

What apparently angered Ramesh Taurani the most was that he got the news that she has left the film from the media and not Deepika herself. The story goes that after shooting for 6 days, Deepika didn't turn up on the shoot. The production team tried to reach her but couldn't get through her. When Ramesh called her, she said she would come with her new manager and work things out. But Deepika didn't turn up for the meeting and her manager informed Taurani that she had been offered a major Hollywood project, which she couldn't let go.

But what followed next had Ramesh boiling with anger. Just as she left Race 2, Deepika announced that she would be doing Rajinikanth's next film Kochadaiyaan directed by his daughter Soundarya.

Deepika had opted out of Race 2 before when was offered Ayan Mukherjee's film opposite Ranbir Kapoor, but the makers got her back on board by adjusting her dates. The makers had even postponed their Turkey schedule for her and in the process they had to let go off Sonakshi Sinha, who they replaced with Jacqueline.

In Deepika's defense, a source close to her stated that the constant delays in the schedule of Race 2 was the main reason she left the film as she couldn't adjust her dates again once she was informed that they were changed.

Reportedly, Taurani is also planning to take legal action against Deepika but they are first finding a replacement for her as soon as they can.

Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan Wednesday refused to categorically state whether he had slapped Shirish Kunder or not but said the reportage on the incident was affecting his kids.

"Lots of things are being said about my life in news channels but the stuff which you put up in the channels are not the whole truth. This is embarrassing at times as I have a 14-year-old son and an 11-and-a-half year old daughter," said Shah Rukh, who was in the city to address a programme.

The Bollywood badshah felt it was embarrassing for a father to explain certain issues to his children.

"Every morning it becomes very difficult to explain to your children and it becomes embarrassing as a father, as a brother or as elder son of the family to explain about what is stated," he told reporters.

Shah Rukh reportedly roughed up editor-filmmaker Shirish, the husband of his former friend Farah Khan, in the wee hours of Monday during Sanjay Dutt's success party for "Agneepath".

"Bollywood stories are presented in a larger than life way... I have read the headlines. Yeah, some of them have not happened and some of them might have happened, but I would like to keep it to myself," he remarked.

Describing Farah as a very old friend, Shah Rukh regretted the reports that have been published about his differences with her.

"I have heard things that have been stated about us and it's very difficult for people to sit down and read things in the house. In our house, the kids call her Farah aunty. It's really sad when for last two years people say she said this and that... None of that is happening," he said.

However, he sounded hopeful of settling the differences.

"We can resolve our issues... certain issues we can resolve with hugs and happiness and I want to keep it personal," he said.

Saif Ali Khan in Agent VinodAgent Vinod   | Wallpapers   | AV Videos   | AV Fans Club   | Saif Ali Khan   | Kareena Kapoor   | Hot N Spicy  Even before the release of the much-awaited action-spy movie Agent Vinod, actor Saif Ali Khan has expressed his desire of making it a franchise. If Agent Vinod, which is produced by Saif under the banner of Illuminati Films, turns out to be a box-office hit, then Saif would consider making sequels to it, much like the James Bond series, of which, approximately 22 films have been made so far.

Agent Vinod features Saif Ali Khan along with his real life lady-love Kareena Kapoor. When asked about it, Saif said, "Hope so, if the film does well and audiences likes it. If it is popular, then of course we will look forward to making it a series." The Sriram Raghavan-directed venture, which was beset with teething problems in its early stages, will finally release on March 23.

Saif Ali Khan is very much sure of the quality of the film and he is not worried about time and cost of its making. "It is a big and interesting film so it is bound to be in news be it for the delay or the film getting over-budget. We don't have to bother about it. The minute the first trailer comes out, nobody thinks why delay...late and all," the PTI quotes Saif as saying.

The Bollywood actor added, "Films take time and we were little inexperienced, as we thought we can do it one year. But with the kind of action, the kind of locations we are shooting in, the kind of things we did for the movie...these things took a longer time than I thought of. But it doesn't matter. As we all are satisfied with the finished product and happy to share it with everyone."
